You’ll need the game box. Marquoir sums up the rules and keeps score.
Setup
- Each player chooses a faction; each faction has its board, its terrain and its ability.
- Everyone starts with 20 victory points.
- Place your first dwellings on spaces of your terrain.
- Reveal the scoring tiles for the six rounds and the bonus tiles.
How to play
- Each round begins with income: workers, coins, priests and power.
- On your turn, take one action: terraform and build, upgrade a building, send a priest to a cult, improve your shipping or your terraforming, use a power action…
- When you build next to an opponent, they may gain power by losing points.
- A player who passes swaps their bonus tile for a new one; the round ends when everyone has passed.
Scoring
- During the game, you score according to the round's scoring tile, your bonus tiles and your favour tiles.
- Largest connected area: 18, 12 and 6 points to the top three.
- Each of the four cult tracks: 8, 4 and 2 points to the top three, provided they have advanced on it.
- In case of a tie, add up the points for the ranks concerned and share them, rounded down.
- Resources: convert everything into coins, then 1 point per 3 coins.
End of the game
- The game ends after the sixth round and final scoring.
- The most points wins.
