Lords of Waterdeep
As a secret Lord of the city of Waterdeep, score the most points by completing quests with the adventurers you recruit.

You’ll need the game box. Marquoir sums up the rules and keeps score.
Setup
- Each player secretly draws a Lord card, which shows the quests or buildings they favour.
- Each player receives their Agents (depending on the number of players), two quests, two Intrigue cards and gold according to turn order.
- Reveal four quests and three buildings for sale.
How to play
- In turn, place an Agent on an unoccupied building and take its effect: adventurers (Fighters, Rogues, Wizards, Clerics), gold, quests, Intrigue cards, buying a building.
- After placing an Agent, you may complete one quest whose cost you can pay: score its points and its reward.
- Waterdeep Harbour lets you play an Intrigue card, then reassign that Agent at the end of the round.
- At the start of round 5, each player receives an extra Agent.
Scoring
- Quests and buildings score points during the game.
- End of the game: 1 point per remaining adventurer, 1 point per 2 gold, then the bonus on your Lord card.
End of the game
- The game lasts eight rounds; the most points wins.
- In a tie, the most gold breaks it.
Frequently asked questions
How many quests can you complete per turn?
Only one, after placing an Agent. Plot quests stay in play and give a lasting effect.
