You’ll need the game box. Marquoir sums up the rules and keeps score.
Setup
- Each player chooses a window pattern card and takes as many favour tokens as its difficulty.
- Each player secretly draws a private objective: a colour.
- Three public objectives and three tool cards are revealed.
How to play
- Each round, two dice per player plus one are drawn from the bag and rolled: this is the draft pool.
- In turn order, then in reverse order, each player takes a die and places it on their window. You may also spend favour tokens to use a tool.
- The first die goes on an edge or in a corner. Each following die must touch a die already placed, diagonals included.
- Two dice of the same colour or the same value are never orthogonally adjacent.
- A coloured space only accepts its colour, a numbered space only its value.
Scoring
- Each public objective scores according to its card.
- Private objective: the sum of the values of the dice of your secret colour.
- +1 point per remaining favour token, −1 point per empty space.
End of the game
- The game lasts ten rounds; the highest total wins.
- In a tie: the highest private objective score, then the most remaining favour tokens, then the player who played last in the final round.
