Uno
Get rid of all your cards, and collect the value of the cards left in your opponents' hands.

You’ll need the game box. Marquoir sums up the rules and keeps score.
Setup
- A 108-card deck: four colours of 25 cards — one 0, two of each number from 1 to 9, two Draw Two, two Skip, two Reverse — plus four Wild cards and four Wild Draw Four cards.
- Each player is dealt seven cards. One card is turned over to start the discard pile.
- If that first card is a Wild Draw Four, it goes back into the deck and another card is turned over.
- Two to ten players.
How to play
- On your turn, play a card of the same colour, the same number, or a Wild card.
- If you cannot play, draw a card, and play it if it fits.
- Skip makes the next player miss their turn. Reverse changes the direction of play. Draw Two makes the next player draw two cards and miss their turn.
- A Wild card changes the current colour; the Wild Draw Four changes it and makes the next player draw four cards.
- You must call "Uno" when playing your second-to-last card, or draw two cards.
- When the draw pile runs out, reshuffle the discard pile — except the top card — to make a new one.
- The round ends when a player plays their last card.
Scoring
- The winner of the round collects the value of the cards left in the opponents' hands.
- Number cards: face value. Draw Two, Reverse and Skip: 20 points. Wild and Wild Draw Four: 50 points.
End of the game
- The first player to reach 500 points wins the game.
- A very common family variant: everyone counts their own cards as penalty points and is out at 500.
House rules and pitfalls
- An official rule that is often ignored: Draw Two cards cannot be stacked. The targeted player draws and misses their turn.
- The Wild Draw Four may only be played if you have no card of the current colour. An opponent can challenge it.

Frequently asked questions
Can you stack Draw Two cards in Uno?
No, not under the official rules: the targeted player draws their two cards and misses their turn; they cannot pass a Draw Two on to the next player. Stacking is a very common house rule, to be agreed before you start.
When are you allowed to play a Wild Draw Four?
Only if you have no card of the current colour. Holding the same number or another Wild card does not prevent it. The targeted player can challenge: if you did have the colour, you draw four cards instead; otherwise the challenger draws six.
What happens if you forget to say Uno?
You draw two cards, provided you are caught before the next player has played. After that, forgetting costs nothing.
What does Reverse do with two players?
It acts like a Skip: the opponent misses their turn and the player who played it plays again at once.
Can you end the round on an action card?
Yes. The effect still applies to the next player, and the cards they draw count toward their hand's total.
How are the points of a round counted?
The winner collects the value of the cards left in the others' hands: numbers at face value, Draw Two, Skip and Reverse 20 points, Wilds 50. In the app, enter each player's cards and the total goes to the winner.
