You’ll need the game box. Marquoir sums up the rules and keeps score.
Setup
- 104 cards numbered 1 to 104, each showing one to seven bull heads.
- Each player is dealt ten cards. Four cards are laid out to start the four rows.
How to play
- Everyone chooses a card and places it face down, then all are revealed at the same time.
- Cards are placed in ascending order, each one at the end of the row whose last card is closest below it.
- A card that becomes the sixth in a row makes its owner take the five previous cards, and becomes the new first card of that row.
- A card lower than the end of every row forces its owner to take a whole row of their choice.
Scoring
- Each card taken is worth its number of bull heads, from one to seven.
- An ordinary card is worth 1 head. Multiples of 5 are worth 2, multiples of 10 are worth 3, doubles — 11, 22, 33… — are worth 5.
- 55 combines both: a double and a multiple of 5, it is worth 7 heads, the most in the game.
End of the game
- The game ends at the end of the round in which a player reaches 66 bull heads.
- The lowest total wins.

Frequently asked questions
What is the idea?
Everyone plays a card at the same time, then the cards are placed from lowest to highest on four rows. The 6th card in a row "takes": its player collects the five previous cards and their bull heads.
Where does a card go?
In the row whose last card is the closest below it. If your card is lower than every row end, you must take a whole row of your choice.
What are bull heads?
Penalty points: each card carries 1 to 7 of them. The aim is to collect as few as possible — high cards and multiples of ten carry the most.
How do you choose your card?
Everyone chooses secretly, then all cards are revealed together and resolved from lowest to highest. Anticipating the order of placement is the whole game.
How does the game end?
As soon as a player reaches 66 bull heads, the game ends. The lowest total wins. You can also agree on a lower threshold for a short game.
