Setup

  • Each player takes a sketchbook, a dry-erase marker and a word card.
  • Decide which word on their card each player will use.

How to play

  • Everyone writes their secret word on the first page of their sketchbook, then draws it on the next page.
  • When the sand timer runs out, everyone passes their sketchbook to their neighbour.
  • The neighbour looks only at the last drawing, turns the page and writes what they think it shows.
  • The next player draws that guess, and so on, alternating drawing and guessing.
  • When each sketchbook is back with its owner, they are flipped through one after another, out loud.

Scoring

  • Points are optional; you can play just for the fun of the reveal.

End of the game

  • The game stops when the table decides, after as many rounds as it likes.
