Setup
- Each player receives 5 people, 12 food and a tribe board.
- Form the piles of hut (building) tiles and reveal four civilisation cards.
How to play
- In turn, place one or more people on a single location: hunting grounds, forest, clay pit, quarry, river, toolmaker, field, hut (love hut), buildings or cards.
- Then each player resolves their locations in any order. For resources, roll one die per person: the total, divided by 2 for food, 3 for wood, 4 for brick, 5 for stone, 6 for gold, gives the harvest. Tools add to a roll.
- Finally, feed the tribe: 1 food per person, minus your agriculture level. A player who cannot feed loses 10 points, or pays in resources.
Scoring
- Huts and certain cards score points during the game.
- Green-background cards: each set of different symbols scores the square of its size.
- Sand-background cards: the figures multiply your agriculture level, tools, huts or population.
- 1 point per remaining resource.
End of the game
- The game ends when the civilisation cards can no longer be refilled, or at the end of the round in which a pile of huts runs out.
- The most points wins; in a tie, the sum of agriculture, tools and population breaks it.
