Ghost Blitz

Be the first to grab the right object each time a card is turned over, and finish with the most cards won.

You’ll need the game box. Marquoir sums up the rules and keeps score.

Setup

The game is for 2 to 8 players.
The 5 wooden objects, each in its true colour (white ghost, red armchair, green bottle, blue book, grey mouse), are placed in a circle in the middle of the table.
The 60 cards are shuffled into a face-down deck.

The last player to have gone down to the cellar starts: they turn over the top card so that everyone sees it at the same time.
If an object is pictured in its true colour, grab that object.
If no object is shown in its true colour, grab the object that is not pictured and whose colour does not appear on the card either.
Each player grabs only one object.
The fastest to grab the right object wins the card and turns over the next one.
A player who grabs a wrong object gives one of their won cards, if they have any, to the winner of that card.

Each card won counts 1.
In Marquoir, add 1 to the winner of each card, and take 1 off a player who makes a mistake (if they have cards) to add it to the winner.

"Grab or shout" variant: when a book appears on the card, do not grab anything; call out the name of the object instead. Shouting instead of grabbing, grabbing instead of shouting, or doing both costs a card.

What if the blue book is pictured in blue?

Then that is the one to grab: an object in its true colour always takes priority.

Can you correct yourself after grabbing the wrong object?

No, each player gets only one try per card.
