The game
Rulebook variant
As many houses and cheques as players each round; with four, the top two cards of each pile are set aside.
Rules reminder
- In thousands of dollars: a $13,000 cheque counts 13, each banknote left 1.
- At auction, whoever passes takes the lowest house and gets back half their bid, rounded up.
- Tie: the most banknotes left wins; otherwise, the victory is shared.
